Vendor Information
All proceeds from the Garage Sale will go directly to LaLeche League Canada and the Ottawa Chapter, an organization committed to providing information and support to breastfeeding mothers.
If you are interested in becoming a vendor please read through the following information, including the files. After you have read ALL the information please feel free to contact us by using the form below.
We will let you know if there are any tables available and how to proceed with payment.
Tables are $45.00
Your Space
- Undraped table and one chair
- Table measures 6’ by 2.5’
- Entire area measures 10’ by 5’ (2’ on either side of your table)
- Each table has room for one clothing rack (not provided)
- Items must not stick out into the aisle
- Please do not move your table
Time
- 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. You must keep your table set up until 2:00 pm
What to Sell
- Any child related gear, including children’s clothing, games and sports equipment (including
outdoor sports/play equipment), toys, baby equipment, books, videos, tapes, CD’s, DVD’s
- Maternity clothes
- Large items (play house, crib): you may prefer to bring in a picture, leaving the item in your
vehicle or at home for later delivery
- Priced items attract more shoppers
- You retain all income from your sale
What NOT to Sell
- Car seats, jolly jumpers, baby walkers, or single user breast pumps (Our insurance policy does
not permit the sale of these items)
- Food Items including baked goods
- New Items
The above items are not allowed and will be removed.
Leftovers
- You must remove all unsold items.
- Unfortunately, we have no arrangement for pick up of any leftover items.
- The Sportsplex garbage dumpsters are not to be used. Violators are subject to fines!
Cancellations and Refunds
- There will be a $5.00 service fee for any refund due to table cancellation. Please inform us if you
must cancel at the last minute so buyers won’t see empty tables!
By paying in full you are agreeing to abide by the rules listed here above.
Unloading Directions – VERY IMPORTANT
In order to unload so many items in a very short time, we ask that you follow these steps:
1. Arrive between 5:30 am and 8:00 am. The earlier the better to avoid lineups.
2. Pull into the service area (see Sportsplex map). Please do not park as you may be blocking
access to the entrance.
3. You will receive an envelope containing your 2 vendor stickers, table number and evaluation
form. Please put on your vendor sticker.
4. Unload your items with the help of the volunteers. We will bring your items to your table while
you park.
5. Park your car at the back of the Sportsplex in the area indicated on the map.
6. Proceed to your table through entrance #4, wearing your vendor sticker.
Services Available
- Unloading of vehicles.
- Assistance to customers carrying out large items (direct customers to the volunteer station
located by the exit).
- Volunteers will be circulating the hall during the set up and sale to offer assistance. They will be
pleased to bring you coffee or watch your table if you need a washroom break. Please flag them
down as they pass your table. They will be wearing red.
- Unsupervised Play area for children.
- Change area and Rest area.
- Our famous Bake Sale.
- Food and Coffee available from Capones.
New Items –Waiting List Only
- We have a limited number of tables, designated to small business owners selling new items
- Exhibitors selling New Items are required to provide proof of adequate liability insurance
prior to the event.
- Exhibitors selling New Items without proof of liability insurance may not exhibit.
- Proof of Insurance must be received at least 3 weeks prior to the event.
Please note: We are currently at full capacity for New Item Table Rentals; you must meet the above conditions to be placed on the waiting list.
